Weekend Review-

This past weekend we made a very quick trip to our home town. We don't visit often only because flights are pretty expensive to travel across the state and the drive is long and boring. Not a fun drive at all. Most of our family resides there as well as some friends. We decided to leave for a few reasons, mainly looking for better opportunity that a bigger city could offer but also because we were tired of the small town feel. Some people love small towns but we wanted to try something different. There isn't much to do, you are defined by what side of town you live on or what high school you went to, and well everyone knows everyone meaning the good and the bad you have done always follows you.

Anyway we are happy with our decision to leave the city but do enjoy when we have the opportunity to visit.
Especially now that we have our son. It is a difficult thing when you don't have your family living near when you have a child. They miss so much and have to essentially meet a new baby each time they see him.

My little man doesn't like car rides at all. He will do decently on short rides but anything long or in the dark just doesn't work.

Car rides is one of the few times he will cry. He didn't cry the whole time but it sure was a task to keep him entertained.

We got to visit with grandparents. Its amazing to me that N has his two grandmas, grandpa, a great grandpa, four great grandmas, and a great great grandma still living. He has met them all!

My little brother also had a birthday party. He drives me crazy but I love him.

One of the main things I miss from our hometown is the mountains. Another reason to go ahead with the plan to move to Colorado in the future is to be near the mountains again.

It ended up being a fabulous weekend. Thank you Lord for bringing us home safe.
Have a wonderful week!
