A Day at the Zoo

The hubby took a much needed day off so for a portion of the day we decided to go to the zoo. I actually love our local zoo. We would go much more often but it gets too darn hot. We thought it was perfect time of year to go since it is still cool enough to actually see the animals. Many of them aren't out in the hundred degree weather.

The toddler was super excited to go and talked about it all morning through breakfast. He was listing all of the animals he wanted to see and somehow threw in cows as one of them. No cows at the zoo by the way but funny enough there are some at a farm right down the street that we pass almost daily.

The bear is one we hardly see in the hot weather but here he is!

I had to explain to the toddler that no we can't lick the glass.

I am not a fan of snakes whatsoever but I loved the color of this one!

He counting the number of elephants!

Our local zoo is pretty awesome. It is adjacent to a beautiful park. There is also a train that you can ride around the entire thing. Little man loved that and kept saying "all aboard". (if you are a  Disney channel watcher you will understand the cuteness)

Thanks for reading!
