Saturday both boys had baseball games. The games were at separate parks so we had to drive around the city. L had his game first. It started raining at the beginning but they had the little dudes play through so me and the rest of the crew hung out in the van and watched what we could from there. The rain let up and then it was time for oldest dude's game. The weather was absolutely gorgeous. Overcast with a touch of cool air. You know...what a normal spring should feel like. Oldest dude's game was an exciting one that came down to the last inning. Right after the game it started pouring. We ducked into a nearby tex mex place to get our chips and salsa fix (and guac too!)
In the evening we got a much needed date night. Hubby and I normally enjoy date night once a week you know for our sanity but we had gone without one for various reason for like a month. Well NBA playoffs were in town so we made plans early in the week to attend. We aren't Spurs fans....living here a decade and nope still haven't made the conversion. We are Laker fans! But since it will probably be another few years till they are back in the playoffs we follow other players. I am a huge Kevin Durant fan, have been since he was in OKC. I am also a huge Steph Curry fan...I love watching him play...and well he's just so pretty to look at. So off to the basketball game we went. There is no better sports atmosphere like NBA playoffs. We enjoyed a drink and some nachos and a pretty decent game.
Sunday brought mass. We chose a different mass time today in an effort to sleep in a bit. Well it backfired because my two early risers were ready for naps by the time mass began so it was a struggle.
Then it was baseball time again. L had his game first which was his last game of the season. I was extremely frustrated with his team this season. His team was full of kids that didn't want to play, so much of the game and practice time was spent on these kids that were crying and distracted and not wanting to be there. We didn't have to deal with that when N was younger so it was surprising. But we left the game today and after having a conversation with L, he said he lots of fun and is excited to play again. So mama's frustration is unfounded. Lesson learned.
Oldest dude's game ended up getting rained out because the lightening got out of control. So we headed out to run some errands and headed home to get ready for the week...
I saw this several times on facebook lately so this just remember...
