Recent Happenings

We have kept ourselves busy lately. Not because we are these awesome social butterflies..lol.. but because we find that the busier the toddler, the less toddler tantrums there are. We have fun, we get  out and about, and the kiddos go to sleep pretty easy.

Some recent happenings include:

A day out to a neighboring city. This particular mini city has what is called market days. Little booths and vendors are set up where arts, crafts, and people's homemade creations are sold. We walked the booths and little shops. Then we continued on to eat lunch at an awesome outdoor restaurant. The environment and the experience are just as good as the food. There was also a nearby winery and of course the river to float. With our little kiddos though those were not on the agenda for the day.

We have been frequent visitors to Sea World as well. We get there when the water park opens, stay for a few hours while its not too packed yet and then leave. Those few hours of water, sun, and climbing the slides tires out everyone for the day. We have season passes so it is so worth it. The toddler's swimming lessons has really made him comfortable in the water and brave enough for some of the bigger kid slides. He is going down some of these slides which of course makes mama super nervous but he holds his breath and has a blast.

We also broke out the slip n slide. We had a good size inflatable pool that we normally set up but with all the rain in our area, since we back up to a green belt our backyard gets overpowered with bugs so the pool is not a great option. The slip n slide he does for a few rounds, runs through the sprinklers and that is enough to make him happy.

I have also set him with some pretty frequent play dates with an awesome group of ladies in my area.  It keeps him busy and socialized and gets us out of the house for a little bit.
