First off he is now officially a crawler! For a few weeks now he was doing this weird army crawl turning thing to get around and then one day he just took off. Now it is certainly a chore to keep up with him. He is everywhere! Our house was somewhat baby proofed with the toddler but the toddler wasn't into much. With this one, I need locks and gates for everything. And he knows when he is venturing somewhere he isn't supposed to because he will start laughing hysterically. This one is going to give me gray hair.
He has also changed in his needs. For the first few months of his life, I was shocked at how much of a a higher needs baby he was compared to the toddler. But now he has cooled down. We have been super chaotic in life with multiple travel situations and schedule changes and he just took everything in stride.
He is still nursing well but I have a feeling he will wean sooner than big brother did. He is too busy getting into trouble. He is doing well with solids although I haven't given anything too far advanced because he still hasn't cut a tooth so the paranoid mama in me is playing it super cautious.
His weight is far off of the charts. That is just how big brother was where they gain a whole bunch in the first year and then taper off. His height is near the top percentiles too. If he keeps going the way he is then he will be taller than big brother.
His mouths mama and dada some but not especially clear. He has a strong moody personality. Definitely more like his mama in that sense but as far as looks go he is all hubby.
I am amazed at all the changes he has made these past few months and can't wait to see what is to come! Happy 8 months little man!
